ALIMA
Alima is an Ecuadorian singer based in Barcelona. Exploring the fusion of neo-soul and alternative pop in Spanish, Alima is influenced by Latin rhythms, shaping unique and vibrant sounds. Her lyrics capture the female worldview in all its freedom and empowerment, diving into vulnerable and genuine topics such as the body, sexuality, and intense emotions, sustaining the groove and melody characteristic of her jazzy neo-soul pop.
New álbum: Floranina
Alima, the versatile Barcelona-based artist, once again channels sensuality and the smooth, sultry pull of neo-soul to bring us closer to the warmth of love. Her recent single “Cora” featuring Machaka invites us to dance in sync with its Latin groove, while “So Right” glides on a magnetic bassline, weaving through downtempo keys that flirt between light and shadow, depth and surface.
Now, with her second studio album, Floranina, she takes us even deeper into her world—ten songs shaped by femininity, transformation, and self-discovery, capturing the raw emotions of love and new experiences. In this new chapter, her sound evolves, centering her voice within an immersive and intimate sonic landscape.
Much of the album draws from her journey of migration and life in Barcelona. “Moving to Spain came with many challenges. I had to rebuild my life from the ground up and reconnect with myself in a completely new environment.” That journey of change and renewal is at the heart of Floranina.
We welcome Floranina, an album infused with deep emotion and organic band-driven sounds—where Alima’s voice shines at its most free and effortless.
